Edit: What is wrong with all these gold-winning U.S. athletes (from any year) that seem to not know the national anthem? It's so pathetic. I see many people from other countries mouth along, even partially, and NBC shows those award ceremonies way less than when the U.S. wins gold. I don't know why I'm surprised, most people I've known don't know it either. I know it's long, but man, if you know all the words to some rap song, learn the first verse of Star-Spangled Banner. It's probably one of the few things that ties everyone together rather than split them apart. (Damn, I sound like a hippie. A federal hippie.) We should have random testing. Some government guy will call you up and ask you to at least recite the anthem. If you pass, you get a cookie. If you fail, something will happen to you. You won't know when or what, but by God, it'll happen. >/

So UPN and The WB want to combine to form one "super-network" in autumn, eh?

1) The CW? Come on! It sounds like I'm speaking with a bunch of marbles in my mouth.
2) Apparently they can reach 95% of U.S. viewers with the CW, so they can no longer use the excuse of limited affiliates if they have abysmal ratings.
3) Which channel? What will happen to the extra channel? It won't be a totally new channel, would it? I like the way all the major networks are close to each other (currently CBS2, NBC4, FOX5, ABC7, UPN9, WB11). It's so neat and tidy. Elsewhere it seems like it's all over the number map (FOX6 and then ABC35??). Is it just the tri-state area? 'Cuz we're awesome?!
4) WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO THE LOCAL NEWS TEAMS?!?!?!

I'm convinced Fox wants to steal Arrested Development's babies, eat them, and then kill AD in their sleep while raping their wife. They want to see how the season finale they are "advertising" (since they mentioned it ZERO times on television, AFAIK) does before they officially cancel it. They're airing it on February 10th, THE EXACT TIME THE OLYMPICS OPENING CEREMONY IS ON. Yeah, it's the Winter Olympics, but still.

Ugh, after repeating that line to myself about twenty times, I forgot a few seconds to do it as I drank my orange juice and totally FORGOT WHAT THE QUOTE WAS! I *think* that's what he said. And did the writers watch The Ring too many times?? EDIT PART DEUX: Okay I think I corrected it.

That's it, I'm thinking of posting everyday with a crazy fun-time quote from each show I watch. And it'll probably go in my memories. That scares me because that means I will have many entries, and I don't want that. Les, since you're my only reader that acknowledges that sad fact, what do you think? EDIT: Random trivia - Lucas, the name of the "mute" kid, is also the name of Kate Roberts' son, ex-husband of Nicole Walker, supposed true love of Eric Brady (Jensen Ackles), whose twin sister, Sami Brady, is (as of now) engaged to Lucas Roberts. AND THAT'S JUST THE TIP! Watch DooL Monday to Friday at one pm! And I think Jared Padalecki (Sam) played Dean in Gilmore Girls.

The last time I saw Titanic, I was a young, precocious twelve-year-old on the mainland, and it was the first time seeing boobs on screen. Anyway, it's on NBC and I thought I saw Ioan Gruffud yelling as one of the dudes, and I checked IMDb and OH MY GOD, IT'S IOAN GRUFFUD! If I check him out anymore he just might go on my list!
